This is the second defence contract, signed on 29 Jul 2026 under the MoD's startup technology-proposal scheme. The first was a command-and-control (C2) research contract. This one targets strategic intelligence analysis for the Defense Intelligence Headquarters (情報本部), which shows Sakana moving from battlefield C2 work up to analysis that supports national-level policy decisions. A proper government revenue line is forming.
